Board of Education
The Board of Education is a governance board composed of five residents of Frederic School District. Members are elected to three-year terms and oversee the execution of the strategic plan and management of the District through the Superintendent. The Board elects its officers in an annual organizational meeting. Board members bring to their work a variety of perspectives and strengths gained through their education, careers, personal experience and their volunteer service throughout the community.
Board members do not have the authority to act individually in the name of the Board. The Board may take action only at duly convened regular, special or emergency meetings. Agendas and reports for all Frederic School District Board of Education meetings are available in BoardBook. Regular monthly meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the District Office located at 1437 Clam Falls Drive in Frederic.
Special school board meetings may be held from time to time, and for a variety of reasons, (i.e., issues arise that must be dealt with before the date of the next regular meeting, student expulsion hearings, etc.). Special board meetings are posted in accordance with open meetings laws. Electronic copies are posted in all of the school buildings, and posted in three public locations. In addition, the Frederic School District sends copies of all special school board notices to the Frederic Public Library, Frederic Bremer Bank, and the Frederic Post Office, for public posting.
Standing committees of the board include: Finance/Personnel, Policy, Facility Planning, and Educational Program Committee (Technology/Curriculum).
If you have any questions about the posting of school board agendas, please feel free to contact Superintendent Josh Robinson at 715-327-5630, ext. 1104.
