1:1 Chromebook Information

What is a Chromebook?

A Chromebook is a laptop computer that allows students access to the apps and resources available on the web, real-time collaboration with other students and teachers, the ability to do research, create documents and presentations, and much more! All work is stored in the “cloud” which allows for easy access and sharing of information.  The Frederic School District is excited to provide all students in grades 6-12 with a Chromebook for school use.

Chromebook Procedure Handbook
All parents and students are required to read and sign the 1:1 Chromebook Procedure Handbook before the student will receive a Chromebook for use.
For the 2020/21 school year, the replacement cost of the Chromebook is $250.  It is highly recommended that students purchase insurance to cover the cost of replacement if the Chromebook is damaged or stolen. Students will complete the insurance form when they turn in the payment.  The window for purchasing insurance closes on September 11th, 2020.
