Elementary Activities

5th Grade Band
All students in 5th grade are a part of the Music at Frederic Elementary. This foundational program introduces all of our 5th grade students to band in a fun and enjoyable way.
5th Grade Handbells
Students in 5th grade have the opportunity to audition for the Elementary Handbell choir. They practice many hours for their concert performances and travel outside of the school to play for the community.
Book Trust
Thanks to an amazing partnership between Book Trust, Scholastic Book Clubs, and the TOSA Foundation, Frederic students in grades 4K through 6th grade are able to order $7 worth of FREE books every month for the whole school year. This program has been going on for the last seven years and has provided over 20,000 free brand new books to our students. It has been essential to the continued growth not only of our students’ personal libraries, but also to the growth for their love of reading. For more information about this amazing program please visit https://www.booktrust.org/
The RACERS are a group of 5th graders who are responsible for promoting a positive learning culture at the Elementary School. They help coordinate and participate in school and community service learning projects. These students gain an understanding of how to use their talents to serve others as student leaders.
Kids Club
The Frederic School District offers before and after school programming for all of our Elementary aged students. The students get activity time and a homemade healthy snack everyday. This program also runs when school is closed for inclement weather. We are able to offer Kids Club through our partnership with Roots and Branches.
