Title I of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is a federal funding program designed to close achievement gaps and ensure that all students have an equitable opportunity to obtain high quality education. Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Support (EMLSS)
Our universal classroom instruction time is what we call the “CORE”.
“Target Time” allows teachers to work with smaller groups of students
on targeted skills, providing “MORE” support based on individual needs.
CORE + MORE = TARGETED GROWTH!
Frederic Elementary (K-5) and Middle School (6-8) are currently Title I Schoolwide programs. Families with students participating in Title I funded support programs are required to engage in a “Student-Parent-Teacher Compact”. A compact is a learning agreement in which the student, family and school collaboratively design goals and action plans to improve individual academic achievement. Student growth is monitored weekly within 8 week cycles to ensure all students are receiving the support they need.
