My name is Adriana Addison, and I am Frederic's District Nurse. I hail from Thunder Bay, Ontario where I attended a French Immersion school growing up. I was lucky to be awarded a Rotary scholarship to Spain for a year. I worked as a Paramedic in rural Ontario for 4 years while I earned a bachelor's degree in education(primary-junior) and French from Lakehead University. I then worked as the French Academic Year Dean and French Voyageur Dean at the Concordia Language Villages before returning to Thunder Bay for my bachelor's degree in science (Nursing). I worked in Duluth, Minnesota for 4 years in St. Mary's ER and Neurotrauma ICU while I completed a master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner. From there, I spent 13 years working in rural family practice clinics in Wisconsin and Minnesota, including one year in general surgery.  I'm currently taking a break from family practice, and enjoying using my strengths with children and staff at our schools. 

Outside of school, I love to travel, learn languages, canoe/kayak, improve my guitar skills, volunteer, and play a little golf with my husband John. I'm excited to be a part of such a wonderful community. Go Vikings!!!
