My name is Kelly Hopkins and I have been teaching for over 25 years. I live in the small town of Frederic, WI with my husband and two sons. Lane is in 10th grade and Logan, who graduated in May, recently went to boot camp for the Air Guard. He graduates in mid-October, next goes on to specialized training, and then to further his education at the University of Northwestern. My husband is a taxidermist who works out of our home. We all enjoy hunting, fishing and sports. My favorite sport to coach is hockey, there are only a few sports within the school system that I have not coached.

I have earned many degrees over the years, education is something no one can take, - I have a Bachelor’s in English Education and a non-certifiable Art minor, I have a master’s degree in Administrative Education and a principal license, along with my administrative degrees I have my curriculum director license and now I hope to earn my 316 Reading license. I have always been a classroom teacher and have become very passionate about how important it is to read well. I certainly cannot imagine what my life would be like without the ability to read.
